Since I first arrived in Canada and found myself volunteering to help build the playground at Edgemont Elementary School, Calgary's commitment to volunteerism has stuck with me. In 2013, we began the annual Veterans' Food Bank food drive which has raised thousands of dollars worth of food to struggling Calgary veterans, and in 2020, I was pleased to be able to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation with my moustache shave which raised $85,000. Albertans' generosity is simply second-to-none.
